Chris was the one that got me. Tyler just looked really stupid and cheesy.

I loved the ending, shots and song and everything (cheese and all). Of course I could have done without the second shots of non NHB (like Millie, Chase, ect), but it didn't bother me.

A sadder toned song would have ruined the mood, IMHO. The end had no tint of sadness at all (they are all happy and content and at a celebratory game) and the shots of NHB looking at their younger selves was enough for me to get the nostalgic sad feeling that we won't see their journey's on screen anymore. That was enough & had me teary. Us against the world was great for ep 11. The song One Tree Hill playing for the end of the show OTH, is fitting and the beat wasn't that upbeat like a dance song...it was slow enough to feel nostaglic but happy enough to make us feel that their lives are good.

Us against the world was great for ep 11.
That's probably the reason why I'm not too bummed it wasn't used as the ending coda. It was the perfect song for the end of 9.11

^ yep it was perfect and that ep was sadder in tone, so it fit more.

I forgot to mention that I too am glad we didn't see teen Jamie...I saw enough of him to paint the picture that like the Scott men before him...he's talented and good looking (and fit) lol. Joy did say he looked nothing like her and James and on a shallow note I didn't see any extras fangirling about how cute he was the way I saw some saying how adroable the actress for Lydia is (my sincerest apologies to the actor who I hope doesn't read this). Not saying he isn't good looking just that porbably not the good looking we would imagine for a Scott (gah I feel so shallow).

Lol Julian did look pretty creepy. And Tyler looked a bit cheesy too. Is it just me or did his hands look huge?

Yeah I guess there's that. I'm glad we didn't see Jamie if the actor looked nothing like James/Joy or Jackson then. Plus its probably easier to just get someone with a good build and the right hair colour.

Here's the problem people are running into they would all be in there early 30's So that means that Bethany, Lee, Lisa, Austin, and Robert are all in there 30's why on earth are you going to age them into there 30's. Sophia and Tyler are in there late 20's She is 29 he is 28 they are not going to look that much older into there early 30s.

So that leaves Stephen, Shantel, and James who are all at lest 26. Why on earth would you age them. Between 26 and up into 34 you should not look that much different. I could understand it better if they wanted them to look like they were in there 40s but we are talking about early 30s here not late 30s or early 40s.

agreed that we didn't need to see teen jamie. sometimes its better for some things to be left unsaid or rather unseen in this case. although i would've loved to get a front pic of the extra they used to play jamie's back lol. also jamie was a character we saw for the past four years so we know jamie and identify him with jackson... and yeah for a scott boy, i mean we have chad michael murray for lucas scott .. james has certaintly grown up over the years and when i met him in person, i wouldn't be surprised if he went for modeling so yeah there's a level of expectation, rightfully so, of someone carrying the scott name and being nathan's son of course lol.

but im wondering where did you hear joy talk about teenage jamie?

as far as music choices, i wanted something uplifting yet mellow if that makes sense. the song they used at the end of the pre-special Always and forever gave me more of an emotional reaction than the u2 song.

I know i am late to this but only seen this ending this week.
What bothered me (and it's a little thing) surely Jamie's jersey on the wall would have "James Scott" under it as opposed to Jamie?

Officially admitting Dan Scott can be a nice guy

I never noticed that, well spotted. To me it doesn't make much difference though. Just think of it this way maybe they asked him what he'd prefer 'James or Jamie?' He's mostly been known as Jamie so I wouldn't be surprised that Jamie's up there. It's kind of like putting Beth up their if you're known as Beth but called Elizabeth.

I must say this. 5 years isn't a long time.

Michael chad murry looks different. nathan scott doesn't look much different than 9 years ago. So it's believable that in 5 years he still looks almost the same.

Nathan missing is because James Lafferty only signed on for 7 episodes for the season. Due to this, they had to come up with a creative way for him to be legitimately absent. I think it was a great way to show Haley's undying love for him personally and it made every episode a can't miss episode! Awesome for the final season!
