Hi I'm Patrick Priest, owner of OTHfans.com and OTHforums.com! I created OTHfans.com in October of 2003 after watching the pilot of One Tree Hill. Being from North Carolina, I live only 2 hours from where the show is filmed. I was frequently an extra on the 1st season of the show, and by season 2 I moved to Wilmington to work for the show full-time. Working for the show was a great experience that lasted for 2 seasons. It helped me make this website as popular as it is, with some great inside information and friendships with cast members.
My career is built around broadcasting, I currently work for a TV station in Raleigh, NC. I am a huge fan of the UNC Tarheels and go to all of their football and basketball games. Sometimes on the website I can come across as a "mean guy," but it's more of I'm just misunderstood. So feel free to send me a message and get to know me.
I like OTH because I am a huge fan of basketball and I am from North Carloina (where the show is filmed and set). I try to support any thing filmed in NC, and when I found out about this show, and the fact it was based on basketball, I knew right away I'd have to watch it. What's your favorite and least favorite thing about the forums? My favorite thing would be the amount of members we have. It makes me proud knowing my creation is the #1 OTH community. Ironic thing, it's also my least favorite thing about the forums. I miss the small "family like" feeling the forums used to have. What's the hardest thing about being a Moderator? For me it's trying to make everyone happy. As the owner, it's my responsiblity to try and please everyone, and that's impossible. So sometimes it's hard to make a decision then deal with the people that did not like the decision I made. If you could change one thing about the forums, what would it be? Well the things I wanted to change are changing or have changed. Usually I make sure things are being ran the way I want them to. That's the good thing about being the owner. ![]() What keeps you committed to the forums? To be honest, the fans. I don't watch the show anymore, but I feel I built this place for the fans. Just because I'm no longer interested in the show, it doesn't mean I should give up on the people that have supported this website. |

My name is Liz, I’m a senior in college where I’m going for my teaching degree. I live in Michigan, where I just got married and have a cute dachshund named Slevin. I love movies and TV. Law and Order: SVU is my favorite show and Clue/Jaws/The Godfather are my favorite movies. I love playing games, and hanging out with friends. I am extremely chatty, it can drive some people nuts. I’m a sports fan, mostly Lions football or Tigers baseball.
Most people on the forums find me to be mysterious, but I am really very friendly and tend to lurk more than talk, but I’m hoping to change that. Feel free to PM me or Skype me any time I love meeting new people.
I started watching One Tree Hill at the beginning. The friendships were my favorite part of the show. Lucas/Haley really was hooked me because I could relate to it. I think the beauty of the show is that you can relate to someone on the show. I love all the controversy it starts, how so many people can ship BL and LP, which intrigues me. It makes the show brilliant. What's your favorite and least favorite thing about the forums? My favorite thing about the forums is that everyone becomes a family. People have so much in common and love a lot of the same actors and TV shows. I know so many people who don’t like OTH, but here everyone has a common interest. I’ve been here for so long and seen so many friendships form and people who visit other people, I think that’s awesome. My least favorite thing is how separated people can be. We all like the same things, but people have their friends and sometimes won’t accept new people. Also, when people complain about rules, they are set for a reason and I think they’re logical. What's the hardest thing about being a Moderator? The hardest thing about being a moderator is trying to please everyone. I feel that people keep their distance from me because of the moderator status, I want to help make this place better, but that doesn’t mean I don’t want to befriend people. Why did you want to be a Moderator? I think of myself as unbiased. I think that’s a trait needed for being a good moderator. I always loved this place, so I wanted to be a part of what makes it great. I like order, I can’t help it, it’s the teacher in me so I wanted to help add something to the forums as best I can. What's your favorite section? I love the relationship section. Since I tend to lurk more than type long sagas, I love to read other people’s opinions of different couples. One couple one person loves someone else hates and that interests me. Also, it’s fun to go back and re-watch scenes and look for hidden moments or debate who was right or wrong in different situations because everyone comes from somewhere different. |

I'm Tiana, currently a student living in Wisconsin. I was born in Europe, but I mostly grew up in the US, and I probably know more about this country than my own. lol I am really into movies and have been watching for as long as I can remember, and I also tend to watch a lot of TV shows so I like spending most of my time watching a movie/show, and one of my goals is to get a job in the TV/movie industry. I also enjoy watching sports, mainly football, American football, and basketball.
I'll listen to just about anything except country, I just could never get into it for whatever reason. The main genres I like are indie and any kind of rock music. Some of my favorite bands/artists are Snow Patrol, Muse, Coldplay, Lifehouse, Lily Allen, She & Him, The National, Beach House, St. Vincent, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Metric, Florence + the Machine, Bat for Lashes, and I also love older music like The Beatles, David Bowie, Simon & Garfunkel, and Bob Dylan. Why do you like One Tree Hill? I have been watching OTH since the first episode, and the thing that always interested me the most was the characters and their stories, relationships, etc. especially all of the Lucas, Nathan and Dan drama in the beginning. I was also really interested in Peyton because I could relate to her the most. What keeps you committed to the forums? Mostly the people and discussing other TV shows and movies in the TV/movie section. What's your favorite thread? My favorite thread would probably be the Grey's Anatomy thread. It's still my favorite show ever and it's nice being able to discuss it with other people that like it here. What other TV shows do you like? Some of my top favorites besides OTH and Grey's: True Blood, LOST, Mad Men, 30 Rock, The Office, Arrested Development, Breaking Bad, Doctor Who, So You Think You Can Dance, White Collar, Modern Family, Community, Weeds, and House. |

My name is Mary. I am 26 and moved from Michigan to Florida in July of 2010. I needed a change and now here I am. I live with my mom right now until I can find a job and be able to move out. I love television and One Tree Hill started my addiction I also love to read books and write. I like going out and meeting new people. I also have a cat named Eddie. I am outgoing, friendly, unique and silly! I also love helping people, so if you ever need anything, just PM me.
I started watching One Tree Hill in the season one finale, that was the first whole episode I watched. I caught it when it originally aired. I had NO IDEA what was going on, the BLP drama, NH got married and I was completely intrigued with the whole show. I wanted to know how everything happened and why. So I immediately got caught up and waited for season 2. The show just captured me, I fell in love with this show, the characters, the voice overs, the writing, everything. Why did you want to be a Moderator? I wanted to be a moderator to help make the forums a better place. I like helping people and I'm pretty good with conflict/resolution. I have been here for over 4 years and I've always tried my best to keep everything friendly. It feels good to help people and to be a part of a team, to help keep these forums the number one forum for One Tree Hill. It's a great experience to have. Whats your favorite music? I like all kinds of music, but I'd have to say my favorite kind is alternative rock and punky sort of stuff like Sum 41, Taking Back Sunday, Brand New, Daughtry. Three Doors Down, Jimmy Eat World, Yellowcard, Three Days Grace, Sublime, Green Day. But I also love things that aren't anything like that, such as Taylor Swift, Tupac, Bone, Easy-E, Usher, Dru Hill, Carrie Underwood, Dashboard Confessional, Lady Antebellum. I used to LOVE rap and didn't like alternative, well not much anyway, but than my friend had me listen to Sublime, at first I hated it but then I fell in love with it, ever since then, I have loved alternative more and more. What other TV shows do you like besides One Tree Hill? One Tree Hill was my first TV show that I fell in love with. For a while it was only One Tree Hill. But my room mate bugged me about watching Greys Anatomy, which I complained and said it was just another doctor show I was uninterested in. And of course, it wasn't, I watch one season 4 episode, then it went on break and I was hooked, rented first and second season and bought the third, the rest was DVR'ed. Since then I've been hooked on Gossip Girl, 90210, Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The Office, LOST, Weeds, Everwood, Friends, Private Practice and the list goes on, those are my top ones though, currently I am watching Friday Night Lights and loving it <3. What's your favorite and least favorite thing about the forums? My favorite thing about the forums is how it feels like home to me. I don't have a lot of friends on here, not as many as I used to, and to be honest, since my disappearance, I don't even remember everyone I used to talk to, as bad as that sounds. But the people I do talk to, new and old, it's great to have friends no matter what on here, theres people I know I can message and they will be there for me, that's what I love about this place, and I am hoping to become better friends with the staff and the members. What my least favorite thing about this place is the colors, I don't like the yellow and grey color scheme. That's really the only thing I don't like. |
Melissa
|
Hey! My names Melissa and I'm 19 years old. I'm in my third year of college. I'm studying Early Childhood Education to become a teacher. I'd prefer to teach pre school or kindergarten. I love kids and animals a lot! I love music a lot, it's s huge part of my life.. well listening to it anyways. I also dance, I've been dancing since I was about 7 years old. I used to compete but now I'm just a part of my college's dance team. I love meeting new people and getting to know them, but I can also be shy sometimes. Pm me anytime, whether you have a question or just want to talk!!
I think this might be a TAD obvious, but my favorite is David Archuleta. I've been a die hard fan since he was on American Idol. And yes I was one of those who voted every night for the entire two hours you could, just for him haha. Over the years he's just became a huge inspiration in my life, not just from his music but even just the way he goes about life. He's not afraid to be himself either, which is really inspiring to me as well. But I do also love loads of other music like We The Kings, Demi Lovato, Aj Rafael.. I like most genres. Why do you like One Tree Hill? I love the stories they tell. And how it's something that you can learn from. At least in the earlier seasons. EVERY episode had a lesson to it and I loved that. It's such an inspiring show in my opinion. I ended up getting really hooked because I fell in love with Brooke and Lucas together. But even without them together, and Lucas on the show I can't seem to stop watching. The shows just addicting and I'm not sure why that is. I guess just cause I've followed it for so long I can't seem to stop now. What's your favorite and least favorite thing about being on the staff? I love being able to help and make the forums as best as they can be. I don't like how we can't make everyone happy with every decision we make. What is the biggest difference between being a regular member and being a Mod? Well, when you're a regular member you don't HAVE to come on often. But being a mod it's important to come on almost every day to check up on things and make sure you're helping out and taking part in discussions. And also, when you're a regular member you don't have to make sure members are behaving. When you're a mod you also have to be a good example for the members. You have a responsibility as a mod, but as a member you don't really. What keeps you committed to the forums? I guess just the fact that I've been an active member of this site for so long. It feels like another home being here, as cheesy as that is haha. The members keep me committed as well, obviously if it weren't for you guys there wouldn't be really a reason to come on here. |

Hey everyone, my name is Sofia and i'm 20 years old. I have just moved from the US to the UK to study medicine and forensics and hopefully I will be starting in the next few weeks. I have all kinds of hobbies, like dancing, cheerleading, sports, reading and spending time with friends and family. I have so many favorite movies and TV shows that it would be hard to name them all. I enjoy all types of genre. As for music I love all kinds, R&B, Hip Hop, Rap and Rock.
I started watching towards the end of season two. It was the episode which Nathan crashed the race car and I instantly fell for the character of Nathan. After that I went back and watched season one and two. I loved and I still love the entire show. What's your favorite thread? That is a touch question. There is three that I love. The James Lafferty photo thread because, duh, he is James Lafferty and I can look at him all day. The Joy and James unscripted thread because the Naley fans are just full of awesome posts and lastly, the JLS picture thread because James and Joy are just adorable in real life. If you could change one thing about the forum what would it be? I would have everyone get along no matter what couple or character(s) they like. We all love the same show so we all have something in common. Who is your favorite character? I love each character (well most) and I adore each of the core five in different ways. As for my favorite it has to be Nathan. The character has so many depths and layers. I love that he is unpredictable. There is also something so attractive about a man who stays faithful. Nathan has lost some of his spark the last few seasons so I hope that we will get a glipmse of the old Nathan that I feel in love with within the next season. What would you like to see happen with the forum? I would like to see it more active and see more people posting. It's a great board. |
AshleyW

Hi! My name is Ashley Wilson! I’m eighteen years old and entering my first year of college. I alternate between living in the mountains of Arizona and living on the beach in Southern California. I have volunteered (and now) worked in politics for most of my life thus far & continue to do so today. But don’t worry; I have absolutely NO political biases & REALLY enjoying discussing & debating politics with anyone & everyone willing to talk to me! hehe! My absolute first love of the heart is the WATER! Oceans, lakes, rivers, etc. Water-skiing, inner tubing, jet-skiing, wake boarding, surfing, sailing, beach ball, bad mitten, horse shoes, tanning, reading on the beach, boat rides, swimming, etc. After that my life-loves consist of listening to, hearing new & collecting music, 24/7/365, reading, Starbucks, basketball, softball, playing card/board games, traveling, thunder/lightning/rain storms, & Nascar.
My favorite genre/years of music is absolutely anything & everything that came out of the 1950’s, 1960’s & early to mid 1970’s! Classic rock, acoustic rock, Motown, soul, 60’s & 70’s pop, etc. However, I literally love EVERYTHING! My other fav genre/time period would probably be the 90’s grunge & rock/pop era. As well as 90’s country music. My very favorite bands/musicians are: Matchbox 20 / Rob Thomas, The Eagles, Garth Brooks, The Dave Matthews Band, Elton John, Fleetwood Mac, John Mayer, Reba McEntire, Jason Mraz, Michael Buble, Jimmy Durante, Otis Redding, Green Day, Eminem, Neil Diamond, The Rolling Stones, etc. Some more recent bands that I have become extremely obsessed with are: Wakey!Wakey!, Mumford & Sons & Aaron Wright, etc. What’s Your Favorite Thread On the Forums? Alright. I can’t lie. This is COMPLETELY unrelated to OTH in every way, shape & form, haha! My very favorite (and by far, wide & away!) most posted in thread on the forums is the “What Song Are You Listening To” thread (sometimes known by other aliases, LoL!). I love this thread so much because I can be doing literally ANYTHING & still be on here talking with my friends, listening to music & posting in there. And sometimes nothing else. In this way I can feel that I am staying in touch with the forums even when I’m at work, doing other things, etc & cannot be fully committed to being online. The (obvious) other reason is because music is quite LITERALLY my life & I am listening to it through & during virtually everything that I do during the day/night. Also, I find this thread to be unique to us as a forum and a WONDERFUL amenity that most online forums do not offer. soo as a very avid music fan I really enjoy & appreciate being allowed to have it & share what I’m listening to ‘with the world’ at almost all times, hehe!. Why Do You Like One Tree Hill? I have fallen deeply in love with OTH for reasons far, FAR beyond any ordinary television program! Once again, music is virtually my entire life, and OTH has introduced me to SOO many beyond terrific new & up & coming bands in several different genres with songs sung & lyrics inspiring to me in every way humanly possible. OTH music (as I call it) has spoken to me & gotten me through some of the hardest moments of my life thus far.. as has the show, characters & storyline in & of itself. The characters & the storylines that have been written for them have touched DEEP rooted chords in my own personal life that no one & nothing else has EVER been able to even remotely meet & no matter WHAT changes & WHAT happens in future seasons to come, I will always remain a loyal fan for these reasons alone. Also – My trips to Wilmington & the memories I’ve had there, cast & show experiences I’ve had through meet & greets, extra-ing, set tours, etc. & close, personal friends that I’ve had & made through my experiences in North Carolina ALL distinctly because of OTH & the EXTREMELY unique relationship it, as a show has ALWAYS maintained with its fan base & its EXTREMELY unique fan base has maintained in of itself is extraordinary & forever memorable. What Is Your Favorite & Least Favorite Thing About the Forums? For me, personally I think my both favorite AND least favorite thing about the forums probably go hand in hand, haha! Meaning that my favorite thing about them is the amount of freedoms & responsibilities we’re ALL allowed just for being registered members on here. Yet, I think that can unfortunately become the worst thing about the forums at times as well when things can get out of hand &/or people can abuse those freedoms & take them too far & even at times take them for granted, etc. Which luckily, in my personal opinion, doesn’t happen all THAT often, soo I really see many more upsides to this place rather than down sides & that’s obviously why I’ve been soo in love with it for soo long now as well. What Are Some of Your Other Favorite Television Shows, Movies AND Books Outside of OTH? Some other VERY favorite shows of mine are: “Friends”, “Gilmore Girls”, “The Vampire Diaries”, “Ghost Whisperer”, “Beverly Hills 90210”, “90210”, “Dexter”, “Big Love”, “Supernatural”, etc. Some other VERY favorite movies of mine are: “The Long, Long Trailer”, “Frequency”, “The Blind Side”, “Crash”, “The Back to the Future Trilogy”, “Fools Rush In”, “The Notebook”, “Something’s Gotta Give”, “Forrest Gump”, “Bandits”, “The Rookie”, “Space Cowboys”, “Armageddon”, ’17 Again”, “Titanic”, etc. Some other VERY favorite books of mine: “The Twilight Series”, “The Vampire Diaries Series”, “The Hunger Games Series”, “A Long Way Down”, “The Art of Racing In the Rain”, “How to Be Good”, “The House Without a Christmas Tree”, “Hatchet”, “And the Beat Goes On”, Chelsea Handler books, etc. As you can tell if you DIDN’T already know me... I like to talk... A LOT. Way too much, actually. And I LOVE meeting new people, making new friends & discussing new things. So please, please, PLEASE don’t ever hesitate to comment, PM or Email me... it really would mean a lot to me. |

My name is Maryam and I am 23 years old. I live in Qatar (yes don't be surprised if you don't know it, you won't be the first one) which is in the middle east. I am actually Palestinian/Jordanian but I was born and raised in Qatar so I consider it my 2nd home. I am absolutely obsessed with a team called Inter Milan if you haven't already noticed and my whole life revolves around them! Other than that I am quite friendly and can be quite sarcastic at times. My hobbies include watching football (soccer), listening to music, watching tv and generally hanging out with my friends and family.
Its simple, its a show with a lot of heart. Friendships, relationships, loyalty and support it just has everything and you could feel that so much in every bit of every episode. The quality of the show is amazing. It also had some awesome voice overs, and complimented with great music... how could I resist falling in love with this show? What keeps you committed to the forums? Easily the friendships that I have made. I have met some truly great people on here and I just love that I have a place to discuss our shared interests in this fun and easy going environment. Besides, by now the forums feel like a 2nd home to me! What's your favorite thread? Any of the football threads! Lol. I am constantly going there to defend Italian football and my team in general Other than that I generally love going into the movies and shows section and discussing all the shows that I watch as I am a bit of a t.v freak! The spill it section can also provide some interesting threads for me so I love that section too! What's the hardest thing about being a Moderator? Toughest thing about being a mod is definitely pleasing everyone, its just an impossible task! But its been good so far so I can't complain and I actually made more friends as a result. (:. If you could change one thing about the forums, what would it be? To not have everyone take everything being said so seriously! Sarcasm in general doesn't translate well online and sometimes people forget that we start fights over a show. Its a forums to discuss a show that we all love, so we really should have fun just doing that! (: |
Mel
|
My name is Melissa, but I prefer to go by Mel. I'm 20 years old and I live in Utah. I love to play guitar and hang out with my friends in my free time. Riding my bike is my favorite stress reliever and way to exercise. I'm the oldest of three and most definitely a Daddy's girl. I'm pretty hard to offend and I'll carry on a conversation with just about anyone.
I'll listen to just about anything and I have a pretty big variety on my itunes, but heavy metal and rock are my favorites. Why do you like One Tree Hill? I adore the story of the core 5 so much. Peyton was the character that really pulled me into the show. I loved watching her character develop through the seasons, as well as the rest of the friendships/relationships on the show. I love being introduced to such great new music, as well as such quotable moments. I think everyone could relate to this show in some form or another. Why did you want to be a Moderator? I really wanted to help out with such an awesome place and I always enjoyed the chances I got to help out with little events here and there. I figured getting to help out all the time would be twice as fun, and it definitely has been. What keeps you committed to the forums? The great people I've befriended/talked to here. What's your favorite thread? Anything to do with miss Hilarie Burton. |
Megan
|
Hi everyone! I'm Megan (obviously). I just turned 19 back in July. I am a sophomore in college. While I love my major (Radio/TV/Film) and my sorority that I'm in I still get very homesick! I'm a major shopaholic (I believe it cures the deepest depression LOL) so while at college I do have to work. I work at a yogurt/ice cream shop... so if you ever want to know anything about ice cream I'm the girl to ask (: If you have questions that AREN'T ice cream related you can of course always ask those too!
Definitely got to say Lady Gaga <3 That girl is just a totally rockstar. Not only do I love every single one of her songs, but I also love what she represents and stands for. I also adore the band Kings of Leon and Michael Jackson. As well as the majority of music played on OTH. However my current 2 obsession songs are "Beautiful in LA" by Garrison Star and "Mirror" by Everly. What's the hardest thing about being a Moderator? The hardest thing about being a MOD is that the majority of people hate authority. Which is understandable because that is just human nature. However this makes my job sometimes challenge because people start to not like you not because of who you are, but because of what you do on the forums. What's your favorite thread? My favorite thread would be the CMM photo thread because really who doesn't love seeing all those hot photos all in one place (:. If you could change one thing about the forums, what would it be? That everyone would get along (: There is no need for hate. It is an absolute waste of time and energy. PEACE. What keeps you committed to the forums? My adoration for OTH keeps me committed to the forums. While the forums is not just about OTH it does revolve around OTH and to be able to share my love for my favorite show for people around the world is just a fabulous thing. |
Sara
|
My name is Sara and I am going into my senior year of high school! I currently live in the US and have never left the country, but I hope to get some travel experience soon. I am planning on college next year and am interested in studying subjects such as sociology, writting, english, communications, multimedia, and journalism.
In my spare time I enjoy being with my friends and family. I also like to hang out outside a lot, swim, listen to music, and write. I am usually pretty easy going and fun, but I have my moments where I am all over the spectrum. I really try to make the most of every moment and what's in front of me.
I like all kinds of music, but a lot of times my preferences are rock or pop music. It's hard to point to just one thing to define my taste, but I will say lately I've been obsessed with the band "Mumford and Sons." Why do you like One Tree Hill? It has a ton of heart that is really appealing. I genuinely feel inspired and touched after watching some of the episodes. That's really special and something that you can't just pull from anywhere on any TV show. I also get really fascinated with the parallels between the adults lives and the kids. Even back in season 1 but especially now to see and compare how some of those situations are different and some are really similar. Also I have to add I love how this show has done codas and voice overs, they have been fantasic and unique. If you could change on thing about the forums, what would it be? That everyone would want to come here to have a good time, or at least a good discussion I guess. I've seen plenty of members moving on because of personal stuff, but also some that just don't feel welcome or find it fun. Why did you want to be a moderator? It would be awesome to see this place be an active, fun place again. So if there's anything I can do to help that then I wanted to be a part of it. What's your favorite event on the forums? Secret Santa! |
